Tabs in Word: the Automatic Center ? Business Management Daily ...

Q. My header has an automatic center tab. How do I set one in the body of my document?

A. If you don?t see the ruler over the top of your document, you will first need to turn it on.

On the View tab, in the Show group, click the box next to Navigation Pane. On the far left of the screen you will notice a box with what looks like a backward L. Click this symbol until it becomes an upside down T. That?s your center tab symbol. Click in the middle of the ruler to set your center tab. If you click it in the wrong place, you can click and drag it to the left or right. If you want to remove it, click and drag it down and off the ruler.
